Gained practical insights into soft gelatin capsule manufacturing, including formulation, encapsulation, drying, and quality control. I also learned about compliance with USFDA and EU GMP standards, as well as softgel formulations used in nutraceuticals and prescription medicines.

Role: As a Trainee Chemist in the HPLC Department at SMS Lab Services Pvt. Ltd.,
• Conducted HPLC analysis of Food, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical samples, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and GLP standards.
• Performed sample extraction prior to HPLC analysis.
• Managed calibration and preventive maintenance of HPLC systems (Agilent, Shimadzu), IC, and FTIR to ensure accurate results.
• Utilized LIMS for sample documentation, data entry, and report generation, ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
• Maintained SOPs for parameter analysis (e.g., Histamine, Carotenoids, PEG, Sweeteners, Preservatives). Received and filed CRM-COA for incoming standards.
• Contributed to batch record maintenance and regulatory documentation (BIS, FSSAI, APEDA).

Oyester Mushroom Cultivation (Duration: 1 month/ Team size:4)
• Conducted a study on Pleurotus spp. cultivation, optimizing growth for higher yield.
• Evaluated agro-waste substrates (paddy straw, sawdust, sugarcane bagasse) for nutrient efficiency.
• Used autoclaving for sterilization and maintained sterile conditions for mycelial colonization.
• Monitored temperature, humidity, pH, moisture, and aeration for optimal biomass development.
• Gained knowledge in Mycology, Microbiology, and Sustainable Biotechnology.
Major Project- UG:
Treatment of Heavy metals contaminated water sample with Artocarpus heterophyllus seed and Evaluation of toxicity by using Fish. Duration: 6 months/ Team size:2
• Studied the bioremediation potential of Artocarpus heterophyllus (jackfruit) seed extract for heavy metal removal from water.
• Tested the adsorption capacity of A. heterophyllus seed bioadsorbent for metals (Pb, Cd, Cr, Hg) using AAS/ICP-MS and a packed bed column for filtration.
• Assessed pH, conductivity, turbidity, and TDS before and after treatment.
• Measured heavy metal concentration before and after treatment using AAS/ICP-MS.
• Conducted acute toxicity assays on Tilapia, monitoring behavioral and physiological changes.
• This project enhanced my knowledge in bioremediation, environmental toxicology, and heavy metal analysis.
Major Project- PG:
In Silico Designing and In Vitro Evaluation of Potent Inhibitors to Overcome Antibiotic Resistance in ESKAPE Pathogens. Duration: 1 Year/ Team size:1
• Conducted a computational and experimental study to design inhibitors targeting antibiotic-resistant ESKAPE pathogens (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter spp.).
• Used bioinformatics tools to select key resistance-associated proteins and screened potential inhibitors with AutoDock and AutoDock Vina.
• Predicted drug-likeness, toxicity, and bioavailability using SwissADME, and evaluated ligandprotein stability via Molecular Dynamic Simulation (GROMACS).
• Measured Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) using broth microdilution and agar well diffusion methods.
• This project enhanced my knowledge in computational biology, molecular modeling, antibiotic resistance mechanisms, and microbiological bioassays.
