Commandant MCEME Lt. Gen. T.S.A. Narayanan visited MMNE Lab & various facilities at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus to further enhance collaboration between the two institutions. The visiting team from MCEME comprised of Dean (Faculty of Engineering), HoD (Communication Engineering Department) and other staff officers from Faculty of Engineering (FEL), MCEME. Lt. Gen. Narayanan visited MMNE Lab, CAL Facilities, Clean Room, Teleconferencing Facilities, amongst other facilities at BPHC. The visit concluded with an interaction of visiting team with the Prof. G. Sundar, Director, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

As a part of our activities with Hiroshima University, a joint workshop was conducted on August 19, 2020 electronically. Opening remarks were given by Prof. Souvik Bhattacharyya, Vice-Chancellor, BITS Pilani, Prof. Shin-ichi Tate, Executive and Vice President, HU & Prof. Sudhirkumar Barai, Director, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus. Presenters, both from BITS & HU, shared salient points of their research to further enhance our collaborative research efforts.

14th Conference of Indian Society for Electro Analytical Chemistry - EIHE 2020 was held from January 21 to 25, 2020 at DAE Convention Centre, BARC, Mumbai. Prakash Rewatkar presented orally on µ-fluidic EBFC with laser pyrolyzed electrodes. J Murali Mohan & Lanka Tata Rao presented their posters as well. Proceedings of EIHE 2020.

Puneeth S B presentedhis Ph.D. thesis pre-submission seminar on January 8, 2020. His Ph.D. Thesis is titled "Development of Robust Electro-Microfluidic Viscometer for Bio-Chemical Applications". During the course of his Ph.D.,  since 2016, he has 5 published articles and 2 patents to his credit. At the time of submission, 5 of his articles were under review. The fifth edition of EEE department doctoral research symposium witnessed presentations/posters from PhD scholars showcasing their progress. The doctoral symposium was graced by the honourable director, Prof G Sundar. Scholars from the MMNE lab (Puneeth SB, Prakash Rewatkar, Sohan Dudala, Prasanth Kumar, Dipankar Nath and Sabyasachi Banerjee) were acknowledged for their recent publications.

Prakash Rewatkar was awarded 'Best Student Paper Award' at IEEE NANO 2019 held at Gwangju, Korea for the work titled "Laser-induced Flexible Graphene Bioelectrodes for Enzymatic Biofuel Cell". The paper was co-authored by Avinash Kothuru and Prof Sanket Goel.
